Support Our Mission
Every Gift Has a Purpose
Legacy Veterans Home exists because veterans deserve dignity, stability, practical assistance, and a community that honors their service. We are building our organization carefully—beginning with transportation assistance and working toward opening our first safe, affordable shared residence for veterans experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
Our mission is guided by six core values:
- Dignity: Every veteran deserves to be treated with honor, compassion, and respect.
- Integrity: We will communicate honestly about what we currently provide, what we are building, and where help is still needed.
- Responsible Stewardship: Donations and grants must be managed carefully and used to advance our mission.
- Practical Support: We focus on meaningful assistance that helps veterans reach important appointments, resources, opportunities, and greater stability.
- Independence: Our goal is to help veterans build a stronger foundation for long-term self-sufficiency.
- Community: Lasting progress happens when veterans, donors, volunteers, businesses, and local organizations work together.
How Contributions May Be Used
Financial support may help Legacy Veterans Home
- Secure and prepare our first veterans residence.
- Purchase beds, furniture, household supplies, food, clothing, and other necessities.
- Provide transportation to VA appointments, job interviews, community resource offices, and other important destinations.
- Cover property, insurance, safety, outreach, and other necessary operating expenses.
- Build the responsible administrative foundation needed to serve veterans effectively and sustainably.
We understand that every grant and donation represents trust. Our spending standard is simple: an expense should directly assist a veteran, help establish or sustain safe housing, or strengthen our ability to carry out the mission responsibly.
Funds restricted by a grant or designated for a specific purpose will be used for that approved purpose. We are committed to maintaining clear financial records, reviewing expenses carefully, following applicable grant requirements, and providing honest updates about our progress and impact.
Because Legacy Veterans Home is still growing, some contributions will support the foundation required to open and operate responsibly. These investments may not always produce an immediate visible result, but they help create the structure, stability, and accountability necessary for long-term service.
When you support Legacy Veterans Home, you are helping build more than a residence. You are helping create a dependable path toward stability, dignity, connection, and a better future for the veterans in our community.
Together, we can build a legacy—one veteran and one home at a time.
